2026-2027 Children's Basketball League
Are you ready to shoot some hoops!? All children ages 4-10 are invited to join us this winter for our Children’s Basketball League. All teams are co-ed and divided by age. This year, our Basketball Season will kick off the week of November 16 (Monday) with our Basketball Skills Clinics. Official team practices will begin in December, and games will be held on Saturdays beginning in January. Each team will have one practice and one game per week. You will find a full schedule of the season below showing dates for clinics, coaches' meetings, and a full practice and game schedule.
The cost for the season is $125.
The Basketball Clinics will be by age, and the times of each clinic will be the same time each day, 5:30-6:30 pm! Monday Nov. 16 (Ages 4-5), Tuesday Nov. 17 (Ages 6-7), and Thursday Nov. 19 (Ages 8-10). Basketball Clinics allow all of our participants an equal opportunity to learn skills of the game and show off the skills they have!
Coaches’ Interest: We can’t do this without our amazing coaches! If you are interested in coaching one of our basketball teams or co-coaching this season, please be sure to get in contact with Brynn McGlamery as soon as possible. We will have two Coaches’ Meetings, November 2nd and November 9th (Mondays), from 5:30-6:30 PM. Each coach only needs to attend one of the meetings.
All practices and games will be held at Athens First UMC.

Basketball Season Schedule:
Clinics: November 16th, November 17th, November 19th
Practices: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday; Beginning December 14th.
Games: January 9th, January 16th, January 23rd, January 30th, February 6th, February 13th, and February 20th.
*There will be no practices or games during Christmas Break (December 21st – January 1st) and no practice on Martin Luther King Jr Day (January 18th).
