Join us for Wednesday Night Dinner!
We invite you to join us for Wednesday Night Dinner for great food and fellowship. Dinner is served from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in Hancock Hall. Adult Meals are $10, the Salad Bar is only $7, and our child-friendly option is $5. All orders must be placed by Tuesday at noon.
Wednesday Nights
Athens First is the place to be on Wednesday nights! There are Children's Choirs, a delicious meal, and small groups for all ages. The Wednesday schedule is as follows:
Wednesday Evening Schedule
5:00-5:45 p.m. | Children’s Choir (3s-Grade 5)
5:45-6:15 p.m. | Dinner in Hancock Hall (Registration Required)
6:15-7:15 p.m. | Small Groups and Wednesday Night Kids
4:30-7:30 p.m. | Nursery Care for Infants-Age 4
Wednesday Night Kids:
During Adult Small Groups, kids are invited to participate in Wednesday Night Kids, where they will explore their faith through Scripture and fun activities. K-5th Grade meets in the gym, while 3s and 4s meet in the nursery hall.

Student Ministry Wednesday Nights
Dinner & Pickleball off Campus | If you like food and you like pickleball, join us on Wednesdays in Watkinsville as we share a meal together and then hit the court for some fun! We'll meet at Dairy Queen for a quick dinner at 6:15 p.m., and then head over to Herman C. Michael. Join us for dinner or pickleball or both!
Wednesday Night Dinner at Athens First | If you and your family are looking for ways to connect with our community at Athens First UMC, Wednesday Nights at Athens First have opportunities for everyone! Children's Choir has rehearsal, dinner is served every week, and there are groups for all ages! Student Ministry gathers together in Hancock Hall around 6:00 p.m. with Brynn and then spends the evening fellowshipping and connecting with one another! This is a perfect way for your students to hang out while you enjoy your own Adult Study!
College & Young Adult Small Group
Wednesdays | 6:30 p.m. | Room 318
Our Wednesday Night Small Group brings together college students and young adults for an evening of fun and discipleship. Our group offers a meaningful intersection of faith, connection, and personal formation. Participants are invited to come early for the free Wednesday Night Dinner at 5:30 p.m.—always free for college and graduate students—look for us in the middle of the room!

Adult Choir
Sanctuary Choir
Open to all adults without audition. New members are welcome at any time of the year. The Sanctuary Choir is the principal choir for the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship services. In addition, the choir sings special services throughout the year. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings, both in the choir room. Nursery is provided. Retreats and social events are scheduled throughout the year.
Chamber Ensemble
A small ensemble of 12-16 singers selected by invitation based on availability. The Chamber Ensemble sings in worship monthly and rehearses in the choir room on Wednesday evenings from 8:00-8:30 p.m. Nursery is provided.
