Kids | Nursery & Preschool
Childcare is available at each service, 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., for infants through four-year-olds. The nursery is located directly inside the Washington Street entrance. All of our nursery staff are CPR and First Aid certified. During the 9:30 Sunday School hour, two, three, and four-year-olds classes include a Bible lesson, craft, music, and snack. A loving environment is provided for infants through toddlers.

Kids | Grades K-5
Kids at Athens First has an exciting Sunday School experience for children in grades K-5. Our model focuses on creating an engaging, fun, and Biblically deep atmosphere for your child to grow closer to Jesus and strengthen their faith. We start at 9:30 a.m. in Hancock Hall with high-energy worship and a time of learning the Bible story from some of the most entertaining members of our church. Following our large group time, we split off into grade-level small groups for age-appropriate activities that engage our children, help them learn Scripture, and most of all nurture their relationship with Jesus. Each week your child will encounter Small Group Leaders who love them, stories from Scripture that inspire them, and a Children’s program that has been cultivated to increase their faith and the fun!

During the 11:00 worship service, Children's Church is available most Sundays for kids in grades K-4.

Sunday Nights

Students

Wesleyan Youth Choir
The Wesleyan Youth Choir is a non-auditioned youth choir for students in grades 6-12. You do not have to be a church member to join. We rehearse once a week on Sundays from 4:30-5:45 p.m. and sing in worship, in the community, and across the nation on our annual summer choir tour. We welcome all students who love to sing.

Serve

We have many opportunities to serve in worship, programming, and in missions on Sundays.

Hospitality Team
We want to provide everyone who comes in our church doors with a warm welcome. We would love to have you help us do that. Our Sunday morning hospitality team is a vital part of our worship experience each week. In addition to helping all worshipers feel welcome, our team members help visitors find their way around our building, answer questions as they are able, and extend the love of Christ to all who enter our doors. To learn more, contact Caroline Anne Chapura.

Missions: Sack Lunch Ministry
Volunteers are invited to provide 30 sack lunches containing a meat and cheese sandwich, three snack items, and a bottle of water. These lunches are distributed from the Hull Street entrance of the church from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. every Sunday. This ministry is a vital resource for our hungry neighbors and is a great way to make a big difference in a short timeframe. If you are interested in serving with this ministry, learn more at the link below!

Sunday Morning Parking

We are a downtown church and sometimes parking can be hard to find. We have three lots off of Hancock Ave and parking is also available on the street. If all of these options are full, the Washington Street parking deck offers free parking on Sundays.
