“The Miracle that Almost Didn’t Happen”

July 02, 2023 | Rev. Jeremy Lawson
Passage: John 6:1-14

According to John, it was just above the lakeshore overlooking the Sea of Galilee that Jesus performed one of his most famous miracles: The feeding of the 5,000. And yet, one of the most unique details of this story in John is the fact that it almost didn’t happen. In fact, if it weren’t for a little boy who just happened to bring a modest lunch of fish and bread, ,5000 people might have gone hungry that day. We’ll look at what this little boy’s humble offering can teach us about what God can do through us when we’re faithful.
