The Elijah Project

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
The Elijah Project is an inter-generational prayer ministry connecting adults and youth in our congregation through consistent, expectant prayer. Students and adults partner together in prayer, rejoicing and giving thanks for the highs, and giving comfort and encouragement during the lows. This ministry blesses youth and adults alike each year. Please consider joining and becoming a prayer partner today!

    How does it work?
Youth who sign up for the Elijah Project are paired with adults who register as prayer partners. The prayer partners are given contact information so they can communicate through cards and email throughout the school year. Adults are expected to write to students at least once per month. Students are encouraged to write back each time they receive a card or gift, but they are expected to send an update at least once per semester.

    When are the events?
We hope prayer partners can plan to come together to one or more of the following events:

Elijah Project Christmas Party – December 5
Elijah Project Service Day – Spring 2024 (exact date TBA)
Elijah Project Prayer Breakfast – May 2024 (exact date TBA)

    Registration
Please register to be a prayer partner by September 11. Once registration closes, it takes a little time to make sure we have all the participants we need and to intentionally pair prayer partners. Adults should receive information about their student prayer partner by the end of September!
