Passage: Matthew 5:13-16

For Jesus—and for John Wesley, the founder of Methodism—the Christian faith was neither complex nor complicated. In fact, in his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said that one of the defining characteristics of discipleship is simply a willingness to “do good deeds” in a world where darkness is the norm. Today, we’ll look at what it could mean for us to “do good” especially as we head into a new school year.
