Lunch Bunch
Welcome to Weekday Preschool Lunch Bunch (LB)!!
This program is available for all Threes and PreK students who are TOTALLY self-sufficient and potty trained.
We are a NUT-FREE zone! Be sure to check all labels. If your child has a nut substitute such as sunbutter, please add a note to your child's lunchbox to let us know that it is safe for our nut allergy friends to be around. Thank you!
Cost - Cost is $8.00 per student per day. Each student must provide their own lunch, beverage, and any needed utensil. We ask that you send as few containers as possible. Baggies are a mess and can leak or break. The divided containers are perfect for a child’s lunch. There are several brands out there...Glad, Bento Boxes, or any type of reusable container. Many are on sale now! It helps us encourage healthy foods first! As a reminder, we cannot store items in the refrigerator, nor can we reheat food items at school.
Hours - LB meets from 12:00-1:00 each day. The children will meet, relax and cool down to a story while our teachers help our students wash up and open lunches. We will then say the blessing and eat. We will also have some time for free play after eating.
Signing Up - A monthly calendar will be sent each month in your child’s folder for you to choose the day or days you need per week. Return it to the school by the due date posted on that calendar. This calendar will include any school holidays, party days, field trips, school breaks, and Staff Meeting Days (usually the first Monday of each month) that we will not offer LB. Our numbers are carefully monitored so that we can remain safe and accredited! NO LAST MINUTE ADDITIONS, please, unless it is an emergency. We must have at least 6 students signed up each day for it to work financially for us. I will let you know through email or text that a day didn't make. This is a very rare occurrence.
Payment - Once you have decided how many days, multiply that number x $8 cost and pay online at the Weekday Preschool website by the 1st of the month. If payment is not received by the 5th, your child will not be able to stay. Please reach out to me directly if there is a problem. Be sure to note on your payment that it is specifically for Lunch Bunch and email a copy of your payment receipt to my email listed below (note new email address) so that I can mark your child as paid on my list.
Refunds - We will not be able to refund the daily charge if your child is absent from school or goes home.
Pick-Up Time - NO later than 1:00 as many of our teachers have other responsibilities in the afternoons with their families or have second jobs. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive, park, and sign out! You will be charged $2 for every minute after 1:00 for being late and will need to pay this online ASAP. We will have the children on the playground or we will be in the gym when the weather is bad. If you come early, please park your car and walk in to get your child. You must always sign your child out!! Please make sure sitters and grandparents are aware of this policy! We will ask for ID for new persons picking up for the first time.
