Children ages 4-10 are invited to join us this winter for our Children’s Basketball League. Teams are co-ed and divided by age. The Basketball season will kick off the week of November 18th (Monday) with basketball skills clinics. This will allow all participants equal opportunity to learn skills of the game. Practices will be held throughout the week, and games will be held on Saturdays. Each team will have one practice and one game per week. Please see below for a full practice and game schedule. The cost for the season is $100. 

Another thing to note: The Basketball Clinics will be by age and the times of each clinic will be the same time each day, 5:30-6:30 pm! Monday Nov. 18 (Ages 4-5), Tuesday Nov. 19 (Ages 6-7), and Thursday Nov. 21 (Ages 8-10). 

Coaches’ Interest: We can’t do this without our amazing coaches! If you are interested in coaching one of our basketball teams or co-coaching this season, please be sure to get in contact with Savonte Wilson ASAP. We will have 2 Coaches’ Meetings, November 4 and November 11th (Mondays), from 5:30-6:30 PM. You only need to attend one.

All practices and games will be held at Athens First UMC

Basketball Schedule: Clinics: November 18, 19 and 21 
Practices: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday; Beginning December 9th 
Games: January 11, January 18, January 25, February 1, February 8, February 15 

*There will be no practices or games during Christmas Break (December 23 – January 4th) and no practice on Martin Luther King Jr Day (January 20).
