Confirmation at Athens First United Methodist Church is a time of concentrated learning and reflection designed for middle schoolers. The purpose of Confirmation is to help students confirm their faith in God. We are focused on guiding and instructing our Confirmands on the vows they are making to become professing members of The United Methodist Church. Student Ministry Kickoff | August 9
Bounce into the 2026-2027 school year with Students at Athens First UMC at Inflatapalooza on August 9! Inflatapalooza will be our kick off to Encounter for this fall, and you will not want to miss out! Inflatapalooza promises to be the most fun with inflatables that you’ve ever had! Come test your skills on an oversized obstacle course, slide down the water slide, and challenge your friends in the Wrecking Ball Arena! Inflatapalooza will begin at 5:45 pm with dinner in Hancock Hall before heading downstairs for worship and all the fun! Registration helps us to have a head count for dinner, and your registration includes $20 to help offset the costs of catering and our inflatable rental for the night! You will not want to miss out!
Spark | August 21-23
We are heading to Camp Glisson for our Middle School Fall Retreat! We will enjoy a weekend full of amazing worship, dynamic messages, and awesome activities!
The dates for this retreat are Aug. 21-23 and the cost for the weekend will be $200. The cost includes all meals, lodging, activities, and a t-shirt.
Note: Confirmands do not need to register for Spark retreat! This retreat is included in your Confirmation registration.
