Middle School at Athens First is open to all students in grades 6-8. The programming opportunities below, from Wednesday night Bible study to retreats and everything in between, are designed with your Middle Schooler in mind!

Middle School Fall Retreat
August 23-25
SPARK. Middle School youth, we invite you to come join us Aug. 23-25 at Camp Glisson for our Fall Retreat. We will dig into the word Spark and what this means for our faith as Middle School and Confirmation youth! The weekend will be full of sweet worship, intentional small group time, exploring Dahlonega, and tubing on the Chestatee River. This retreat is open to all Rising 6th – rising 8th-grade youth! If your child will be going into 7th grade, they will register for this weekend as part of Confirmation!
Registration Information
The cost for this retreat is $175, and a $50 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. The cost covers lodging, meals, all weekend activities, and a T-shirt! The deadline to register is August 1, 2024!

Supper Club | July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
Join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm at different restaurants in and around the Athens/Watkinsville area as we fellowship around the table and share in a time of devotion. We will announce the restaurant each week! Registration not required.
Middle School to Lake Lanier Islands | July 19
We are excited to take our Middle School students to Lake Lanier Islands Beach and Water Park for a day full of adventure and water slides! The cost will be $50 and this includes all day fun at the waterpark and dinner.

Youth to Stone Mountain | July 21
All Rising 10th-Graduated Seniors are invited to join us as we head to Stone Mountain Park! We will enjoy a picnic dinner, fun around the park, and we will end the night watching the new Drone light show! The cost will be $25.00 and this covers park entrance and dinner!
Youth Braves Game | August 2
Take me out to the ballgame! This evening is open to all rising 6th-Graduated Seniors! Come join us as we head to Truist Park to see the Atlanta Braves take on the Miami Marlins! We will leave from the Kohl’s Parking lot on Epps Bridge at 5:30pm. Cost is $35 and this covers ticket and dinner on the road!

The Elijah Project
The Elijah Project is an inter-generational prayer ministry connecting adults and youth in our congregation through consistent, expectant prayer. Students and adults partner together in prayer, rejoicing and giving thanks for the highs, and giving comfort and encouragement during the lows. This ministry blesses youth and adults alike each year. Please consider joining and becoming a prayer partner today!
