Student Ministry Kickoff | August 9
Bounce into the 2026-2027 school year with Students at Athens First UMC at Inflatapalooza on August 9! Inflatapalooza will be our kick off to Encounter for this fall, and you will not want to miss out! Inflatapalooza promises to be the most fun with inflatables that you’ve ever had! Come test your skills on an oversized obstacle course, slide down the water slide, and challenge your friends in the Wrecking Ball Arena! Inflatapalooza will begin at 5:45 pm with dinner in Hancock Hall before heading downstairs for worship and all the fun! Registration helps us to have a head count for dinner, and your registration includes $20 to help offset the costs of catering and our inflatable rental for the night! You will not want to miss out!
Momentum | August 15-16
Momentum is our annual high school fall retreat! This retreat is open to all rising 9th-12th graders! We will travel to Camp Glisson on August 15 and return to Athens on August 16. Our retreat this year will be held at Camp Glisson in Dahlonega, GA, and we are excited for a weekend full of incredible worship, dynamic messages and exciting activities. Momentum is designed as a two day, one overnight retreat for our high school students! We will worship together, fellowship with friends, and enjoy the incredible beauty of Camp Glisson Retreat Center!
