Thanksgiving Ingathering | November 23
Thanksgiving Ingathering is a time to spread the love of Christ during a season of abundance and blessing. Last year’s Ingathering was a huge success, and we hope to serve and fellowship with even more families this year. On Monday, November 23, we will be providing a hot Thanksgiving meal in Hancock Hall for families in the Athens area! The doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and dinner will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Students and their families can serve in a number of ways. Registration for this service opportunity will open soon.
High School Mission Trip: Guatemala
April 3-10, 2027
Join us the week of Spring Break as we travel to Guatemala to serve alongside Impacto Ministry. Our week together in mission includes spending time with some of the oldest members of the community and the youngest! We also deliver meals to families of the city and get to spend time getting to know them. We will sail across the great Lake Atilan and see active volcanos! The mountains and scenery is worth the visit itself but the quality time getting to know the people of the community is what lasts forever! All high school students are welcome to join!
The cost of the trip is $1950 and includes meals, lodging, equipment, and flight tickets. A Passport is required to travel to Guatemala. Opportunities to serve in our parking lot ministry during football season can help to offset some of your cost! And as always - volunteer adults are needed!
The Elijah Project
The Elijah Project is an inter-generational prayer ministry connecting adults and youth in our congregation through consistent, expectant prayer. Students and adults partner together in prayer, rejoicing and giving thanks for the highs, and giving comfort and encouragement during the lows. This ministry blesses youth and adults alike each year.
