Rock Lobsters Game | March 19
Get ready for a fun night of hockey as we cheer on the Rock Lobsters against the Louisiana Moccasins on Wednesday, March 19! Puck drops at 7:05 PM, and we’re making a night of it!
Before the game, we’ll also gather for Wednesday Night Dinner at the church—always free to you and a great time to connect. After dinner, we’ll walk over to the arena together. There will be NO small group that night, so don’t miss this chance to hang out and support the new lobsters in town.
Tickets are $15 per person—register ASAP so we can grab enough seats. Claws UP!!
Bicentennial Celebrations
This year marks a monumental milestone in the life of Athens First United Methodist Church—our 200-year anniversary. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate all of the ways God has been faithful to our congregation and community over the past two centuries.
Join us starting Sunday, March 9, for Bicentennial Worship, a Church History Talk, our annual Missions Celebration Brunch, and a celebratory dinner. In addition to these events, our chapel will be open the week of March 17-20 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. for self-guided prayer.

Graduation Sunday
Join us for Graduation Sunday as we celebrate our college graduates during worship at 11:00am on April 27! Whether you’re graduating from undergraduate or graduate programs, we want to recognize all you have done! We’ll have a special moment of celebration in worship for you, and we will have your names and graduation information included in our bulletin. Your parents and family are also invited to attend this special service and are welcome to stay for our final Sunday Lunch of the semester where the celebration will continue. To help us plan accordingly, please RSVP with the number of family members attending the lunch. Even if you’re not in town, we still want to celebrate you, so follow the link below and send us your graduation info.
