Youth Service Week-Athens

May your love overflow more and more...

Our Youth Service Week begins on Tuesday morning, June 26, and ends on Saturday morning, June 30. During Youth Service Week, we will spend the night here at the church Tuesday-Friday, and participate together in various service opportunities in the Athens community throughout the week. Our primary goal is to have our youth more engaged with their community from a Christ-like perspective. We will pursue that goal through service projects, outreach, and visits to our neighbors in the Athens community. This will be a joy-filled week of discipleship!

Our focus scripture for Youth Service Week-Athens is Philippians 1:9-11. Please join us in prayer for our mission and ministry!

Check-in will take place on Tuesday morning (11:00-11:45 a.m.), June 26 in the Youth Area at Athens First UMC. Check-out will take place on Saturday morning, June 30 in the Youth Area at Athens First United Methodist Church.

Registration/Required Forms
Registration for Youth Service Week-Athens is March 21-May 6. The cost for Youth Service Week is $50 per student, and this cost covers food for the week, transportation, supplies, and a Youth Service Week-Athens t-shirt. You can pay this fee either online when you register or in person at the church at the Youth Service Week check-in station. Please register by the May 6 deadline so that we can best prepare for the week and each student participating. The sooner you register, the better we can plan!

Each student must have a completed 2017-2018 health form to participate in the Youth Service Week. Students who participated in Confirmation, Harvest Retreat, Christmas Lock-In, or Spiritual Life Retreat will already one on file. If you have not filled one out this school year, please do so and email it to Kayla ( ) or bring it with you to check-in.
