Thanksgiving Ingathering is a time for the youth to give joyfully to our neighbors in the Athens community; just as Jesus Christ himself taught us to do. We will assemble and deliver Thanksgiving meals for families on Sunday, November 18. Ingathering is open to all students in grades 7 through 12. SEE REGISTRATION BELOW!
How will the meals be prepared?
We are collecting food items in the youth area to contribute to the Thanksgiving meals. You can sign up here sign up using the link below to commit to bringing in as many food items as you like.
Perishable food items to be dropped off in youth area on Sunday morning, November 18, between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m.
Turkeys for the families will be provided by the Youth program.
When will the meals be delivered?
We will begin meal delivery to families at 12:45 p.m. on November 18. The meals will be delivered by teams of student and adult leaders. The teams will carpool to complete the deliveries and return to the church after visiting with families.
Ingathering Schedule for student and adult participants:
12:15 p.m. Lunch and fellowship
12:40 p.m. Assemble boxes in youth room
12:55 p.m. Pray and head out for delivery
2:30 p.m. All groups are back at the church
