“God’s plan for our lives brought us to Costa Rica. Marion served here since 1950 as pastor, district superintendent, director of the Methodist School, the Methodist Seminary, coordinator of Volunteer in Mission teams, in most areas of Costa Rica, beginning in Golfito in the South and all the way to Los Chiles and Upala on the Northern Frontier. The Volunteer in Mission program brought Mary to work in Costa Rica, primarily in children’s work and team coordination, in 1986. We were married in 1993 and served together in the VIM program. In 1994 we were named Directors of the Methodist Rural Center. From the Rural Center, we have coordinated projects in many areas of the Church with our District Superintendents and Pastors in the entire ministry of the Church. The Volunteer in Mission program has allowed the Church to grow in marvelous ways, both touching the lives of those who come to serve, and those who receive and are served here on the field. Marion and I had the joy to serve together for almost 24 years. God teaches us all through the VIM experience, and therein makes His purposes clear. It has been our high privilege to serve you and our Lord through Volunteer in Missions. Since Marion’s death on April 21, 2016, I continue here with God’s help and yours.”
We all welcome your coming as SHORT-TERM MISSIONARIES! Those you will work with here in Costa Rica desire that your time here will be a spiritual renewal in every way.
Goal to have God's presence in each detail is our prayer for all the preparations, both ours here and yours there as you plan to come.
