2018 Celebration Brunch and Basket Auction

It’s Brunch Time!

 Register for the Brunch 

On Sunday, April 15, our Missions Ministry will host our annual Celebration Brunch and Basket Auction to raise funds for children in need in our community. This annual event will follow our Spring Service Day where volunteers and church members serve in the community with our mission partners as well as serve within the church. 

 

Please consider partnering with us to expand the impact of this event by donating items/merchandise for the Basket Auction. We encourage you to sign up to eat with friends and family at the 10:45 a.m. or Noon seating on Sunday morning.  

 

Ways to be involved!

Work with your Sunday School Class, family, small group, or as an individual to prepare a basket.

The Basket Auction is a silent auction and these themed baskets

 

contain various gift items. This year, we would like to offer a list of themes to avoid having multiple baskets with the same theme. Once you choose your basket, let us know and we will update the master list to reflect your decision. In addition, if you don't see a theme of your liking, please let us know and we can add it to our master list!

 

Attend the Missions Celebration Brunch and Basket Auction

The annual Missions Celebration Brunch is Sunday, April 15, in Hancock Hall at Athens First United Methodist Church. This is a wonderful time for our church family to come together to fellowship

 

with one another over a delicious, homemade brunch. 

There are two seatings available: 10:45 and noon. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children 3-12, and children 2 and under eat free!

 

Volunteer to help with the Brunch & Basket Auction

There are many ways to help with this wonderful day! See below for the full list of ways that you can volunteer, whether in the kitchen or Hancock Hall. If you would like to sign up to volunteer, enter your name, email, and check where you would like to serve!

Help in the Kitchen

The morning of the Brunch, we need people to help prepare the food to be served!

Food/Drink Replenishers

We need folks to replenish food as well as drinks throughout the morning.

Help in the Dining Room

These volunteers will clear plates and re-set tables as needed throughout the morning.

Registration Table

Help check those in who have registered online, as well as any walk-in's; also manage the computer for any online payment options (minimal computer operating skills required).

Cashiers for the Basket Auction

These cashiers will check out people who win baskets from the auction.

Clean-Up Crew

We always need help with clean up after our even, both in the kitchen and the dining room!
