In these unusual times, the Congregational Care Committee is working harder than ever. We continue to look for new and unique ways to care for our congregation. Every morning during this time apart, a morning prayer is available by email. We send out messages celebrating new births, and we share the sad news of deaths in our congregation and in our families. With each of these messages, there is opportunity to reach out to the family through cards to remind them that we are their family in Christ and we celebrate or hurt with them. As an act of love and support, we have gifted our daily devotional books, The Upper Room, to the Wesley Woods community of Talmage Terrace and Lanier Gardens. Each of us can secure our own copy, either printed or online (see webpage below). We also have wonderful members making masks and delivering them. Masks show that we care for one another. Please let us know if you need a mask.
Many are making new friends with calls and cards, and we try to answer special requests for help when someone in our congregation reaches out. May our prayers continue for healing in our world as we show our love for one another in even more meaningful and creative ways.
We would love for you to be a part of this ministry. If you would like to join us, please let Martha Aenchbacher know.
